Our Programs

We currently sponsor Race to the Top A's Program (On hold until COVID is under control).  The goal of the program is to motivate Warren County High School, Warren Early College & Warren New Tech students to reach their highest potential.  Students enrolled in the program will be awarded $5.00 per A if they:

    -- have good attendance

-- have good behavior in and out of school

     -- have no grade below a C

In addition, we offer mentoring and life skills tips and advice during the year.  We end with a picnic for the students and their families.  We appreciate local businesses that have supported us to date:

     **Hardees

     **Food Lion

     **Wal-Mart

We do a county-wide Coin Drive each year to raise money for the Community Center.  Churches are asked to collect donations each Sunday during Black History month.  The Coin Drive culminates with a Black History Month Program sponsored by the Warren County Community Center.

In past years, the Warren County Community Center has hosted the following groups or events:

     - African American Read-In by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Rho Tau Omega Chapter

     - NAACP Executive Board meetings

     - Meetings by Warren County Missionary Sunday School BTU & Training Institute

We are always grateful to each individual and organization that supports the Warren County Community Center.

WARR & The Warren Record always get the word out about our programs and events.

Warrenton Furuniture Exchange has helped us with new flooring & furniture.

We couldn't do it without the continued support of our local churches, the Warren County School System, Warren County Missionary Sunday School BTU & Training Institute, John R. Hawkins Alumni, NAACP.
